7'' figurine of Totoro, hand carved in cottonwood bark.
It is my second carving of this character, I think I am going to try yet another one in basswood but done in this style:
I wanted to use some gel stain on the darker parts of his fur but the wood turned darker than I expected after finish.
I put only slight touch of dark mahogany gel stain on his nose.
