Happy anniversary to me!
I've just realized it has been exactly three years since I took up the knife to carve.
I spent whole $29.95 plus shipping to learn it all:

It started with an apple, my first official carving ever:

And here is my first improvisation.
The basswood blank was supposed to be for a dog but I accidentally cut the face off and ended up
with a rather weird dog...so I reshaped the ears and I changed it into a baby lion!
